Data Analysis and Use of Data Tools Technical Assistance and Training
IU 13 provides on-site, local and regional training and assistance on the analysis and use of data tools in schools. These tools include, but are not limited to, the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) results, the Pennsylvania Value-Added Assessment System (PVAAS) results, and the 4-Sight Benchmark Assessments.

Deaf/Hearing Impaired Support
This service provides students, 3-21 years old, with a language-rich environment using a total communication approach. The focus is direct instruction in academic and functional areas, social/emotional skills and pre-vocational experiences.

Diagnostic Kindergarten Program
This program serves young children with disabilities to determine a child’s primary learning problem. The program provides a developmental environment that fosters intellectual, social, and emotional growth. Emphasis is on concept formation, language development, and auditory, visual and motor skills. Behavior and functioning levels are
closely monitored to aid in determining future placement.

Diversity Training
This service is available to districts, community agencies and employers who want to help workers understand and value workplace diversity.

Document Imaging
This service allows districts to move to a paperless environment and to electronically manage files through document imaging, indexing and retrieval. It enables users to search for important records without having to locate the physical hardcopy original document.
