Response to Intervention (RtI)
Response to Intervention (RtI) is a comprehensive school improvement strategy that is aligned to Pennsylvania’s academic standards. This service is offered within the context of intensive on-site technical assistance and a long-term partnership with school-based teams who are vested in instituting an alternative service delivery model designed to enhance the academic and behavioral achievement of all students. A goal of this service is to help leaders obtain “fidelity of RtI implementation” on a school level as it relates to the model’s core tenants including leadership, scientifically based core and supplemental instruction, reliable and valid assessment, sophisticated data analysis, synthesis, treatment matching, resource allocation, scheduling, and parent involvement. Response to Intervention (RtI) Select Team Training and Regional Networking represent formal structures that are available to interested districts.
