IU 13 provides comprehensive and customized support to districts in all areas of curriculum, instruction, and development. Differentiated solutions to match individual district needs can be provided through training and consultation held at The Conference and Training Center at IU 13, on-site in the district, or via videoconferencing.
Literacy
IU 13 continues to support and enhance the educational community's efforts to bring scientific-based/evidence-based research to district-wide literacy systems and classroom practices that enhance and increase student achievement.
Mathematics
IU 13 offers regional professional development for math educators in kindergarten through Grade 12. Topics include: Consultation and Technical Assistance, Customized Site-Based Professional Development, Regional Networking, Product Tool Development, and Regional Professional Development.
Science
IU 13 offers regional professional development for science educators in kindergarten through Grade 12. Topics include: Enhancing Your Standards-Aligned System for Science Education, Content Deepening for Elementary Science Teachers Using FOSS and STC Kits, Process-Oriented Guided Inquiry Learning for Secondary Science Teachers, Teaching Evolution in the Secondary Science Classroom, and Environmental Science Series.
