Mathematics
Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus and Advanced Placement (AP) Statistics Simulations
The AP Simulations offer students interested in taking the AP exams in Calculus and Statistics opportunities to participate in practice tests that simulate the format and demands of the actual exams. By participating in these simulations, students emerge better prepared to succeed on the tests given at the end of their coursework. Teachers of AP Calculus and AP Statistics are actively involved in the reading and scoring of open-ended items of the simulations, providing them valuable insights into the error patterns and successes of their students. Teachers can then use this knowledge to address the identified needs in the weeks prior to the administration of the actual AP assessments.
2012 Dates for AP Simulation:
BC Calculus: April 20, 2012
AB Calculus: April 27, 2012
Statistics: May 3, 2012
