Southeast Professional Development Center (SEPDC)

Mission Statement

The professional development unit of IU 13's Adult Education program facilitates adult and family learning through innovative instruction, current research, and an enduring commitment to our learners and their educational goals.

The Southeast Professional Development Center (SEPDC), administered by Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 (IU 13), offers a comprehensive professional development program providing technical assistance and ongoing support to adult education programs in Berks, Bucks, Chester, Delaware, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Montgomery, and Northampton Counties in Pennsylvania (ABLE Providers in the Southeast Region). The SEPDC fosters networks of adult education professionals throughout the southeast region of the state as they pursue professional growth within adult education. In accordance with the Guiding Principles for the Professional Development of Adult Education Practitioners PDF Icon, this project models an adult learning culture which encourages and facilitates self-reflective and creative learning on the part of adult participants.
