Consultation and Training Services

The roles and responsibilities of school HR staff continue to evolve and grow with everchanging legal and work environments. Whether in-person or online, our consultation and training services are designed to meet your individual HR needs.

Our services are designed and delivered by HR professionals who have extensive experience with the array of challenges facing schools.

• Act 126 Training
  The Act 126 Training video series features content experts from across the state and is filmed with a combination of interviews, dramatizations, and reviews. The training is designed to assist school entities and independent contractors in complying with PA Act 126 – the Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Act. Learn more about Act 126 Training here.
• Building Aide/Paraeducator Training
  This online introductory training module provides orientation to public school systems, as well as tips related to safety, effective communication, and positive behavior supports for students. It is intended to help newly hired aides develop an understanding of the school environment and of the general expectations related to their new role, ultimately leading to enhanced job satisfaction.
• Guest Teacher Training
  This program is for individuals with a bachelor’s degree (in any content area) who are interested in serving as substitute teachers. Participants will learn about lesson plans, classroom management, special education, developmental stages, behavior management, and how to work with today’s students. • HR & Payroll Services
  Our experienced team can assist with short- and long-term human resources functions such as HR audits, running payroll, assisting with the hiring process, completing administrator searches, and/or overseeing the entire HR function for a district.
• McGrath Succeed
  This two-day on-site training session is targeted toward Superintendents, Human Resources Administrators, Elementary and Secondary Principals, and other Central Office Administrators involved in supervision of staff. McGrath Succeed Leadership program helps individuals create a culture of accountability through mastering the communication, supervision, and evaluation components of strong leadership. The program provides leaders with both practical tools and transformational approaches that allow them to communicate with and lead others to excellence.
