Lancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit Joint Authority
Acquiring ownership of buildings
for intermediate unit purposes and providing financing for vehicle and
other property purchased by the IU is the purpose of Lancaster-Lebanon
Joint Authority. The Authority functions as a Board of Directors made
up of a representative from each of the 22 school districts, to approve
or disapprove the financing activities that are effected by the Joint
Authority. It functions much like a school joint authority. The Lancaster-Lebanon
Joint Authority was created pursuant to the Municipality Authorities Act
of 1945.
