Parent communication and involvement is essential to student success in the online learning environment.
EdisonLearning's proprietary software tools allow parents to be easily involved and informed about their student's learning experience. Parents are given a special log in to a personalized home page, with all of the tools needed to check in on their students. We call this the Parent Portal (see sample shown). From your Portal home page, you can easily communicate with your student's instructors and Academic Advisor through our messaging system, and quickly see student grades and academic progress, attendance, achievement intervention alerts and status, and school and course announcements. You can also stay informed about what your child is studying with read-only access to the course content.
Your local school district will provide your student an Academic Advisor, who will develop a close relationship with your family so that you can work together to help your student achieve success. Weekly check-ins ensure that all of your and your student's needs are being met, and Academic Advisors are also available by email or appointment on school days to support you as needed.
Your local school's guidance staff is your resource for making sure your student is well rounded and prepared for life after high school. Your guidance staff is available on school days to assist with college and career information, field trips, and extracurricular activities.
