Literacy Leaders’ Collaborative

This highly active network group meets five times a year to engage in discussions about Literacy and Title I Programming. IU13 school districts send at least one administrative representative to these meetings. A range of topics are included in each meeting’s agenda and could include: Pennsylvania Department of Education Updates, Professional Learning Opportunities, Best Practices in Literacy, Local Program Review, State Assessments, Parent Involvement, and other pertinent topics provided by the group.

K-12 Literacy Professional Learning Communities

These services provide a forum for professional learning, networking, and collegial discussions about current literacy topics and initiatives. School districts in Lancaster and Lebanon counties send teacher representatives to participate in four evening dinner meetings per school year. These teacher leadership groups serve as collaborative entities for regional and state professional development activities, and supports in capacity building and sharing in home districts and schools.
