Reading and Math Services

IU13 provides students in Lancaster and Lebanon county nonpublic schools with direct supplemental instruction for students in reading and math, as well as coaching and professional development for classroom teachers.

Instruction involves pull-out by IU13 reading specialists/math instructors. In some schools, the reading specialist/math instructor works in the classroom with the classroom teacher in addition to providing the pull-out instructional program.

Because the classroom is the primary center for instruction, IU13 continues to provide professional development, including ongoing support through consultation for classroom teachers and administrators in nonpublic schools. In addition, these services are coordinated with Title I intervention where appropriate.
