Program Assistant

This person will be responsible for administrative support for the IU 13 Standards-aligned systems (Toolbox) program and supplementary support of Instructional Media Specialist. High school diploma, and minimum of two years clerical and fiscal knowledge; knowledge of business English, spelling and math. Organization skills, computer skills including Microsoft Office and Filemaker Pro, PowerPoint, use of Internet, good organizational skills, tact and diplomacy skills, effective communication skills, and ability to handle confidential data. Zone 14.

Program Assistant (2 positions)
Position Status: Part-Time (5 hrs. day/5 days week)
Position Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Location: Adult Enrichment Center, Lancaster
This person will be responsible for secretarial and administrative support to the Adult Education Program. High school diploma or GED required with technology experience. Bilingual preferred. Outstanding customer service skills, ability to multi-task and work with interruptions, work independently and competently manage details and deadlines.

Evening Custodian
Position Status: Part-Time (5 hrs. day/5 days week)
Position Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Location: Church of the Good Shepherd, Palmyra, and One Cumberland St., Lebanon
Person to maintain a clean, safe and attractive environment to assure a comfortable learning atmosphere for students, staff and public. High school diploma or equivalent, 2 years experience as a custodian.

PA Training & Technical Assistance Network (PaTTAN)

Educational Consultant (3 Positions)
Position Status: Full-Time/260 day
Position Start Date: July 1, 2008
Assignment Location: PaTTAN, Harrisburg
Consultant to provide technical support and training, and consultation to professionals, families, students and local teams who serve students and young children who have communication and assistive technology needs, as well as professional development in effective instructional practices. Master's degree in Speech Pathology, Special Education, Occupational Therapy; five years experience in Special Education; effective oral and written communication skills, including public speaking. Ability to work cooperatively with students, parent, other professionals, and interdisciplinary teams. Possess good organizational skills and have valid PA driver's license.

Parent Consultant
Position Status: Full-Time/260 day
Position Start Date: ASAP
Assignment Location: PaTTAN, Harrisburg
Responsible for communication with families and educators on improving services to students with disabilities. Developing and designing training materials for family information. BACB certification required. Experience with students with Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis. Requires experience in special education as a parent of a child with disabilities. Ability to use computer; excellent organizational skills; good written, oral and public relations skills.

Technology Services Department

Database Administrator
Position Status: Full-Time/260 day
Position Start Date: March 14, 2008
Assignment Location: 1020 New Holland Ave., Lancaster
This position is responsible for the architecture, development and maintenance of IU 13 database systems to meet the business needs of IU 13. Bachelor's degree and relevant technical experience (or technical degree with additional experiences). A minimum of three years' technical development experience required.

This position will provide for the administrative-support demands of the Technology Services Department, including reporting functions of E-Rate and call accounting, and provide support to the wide area network (WAN), local area network (LAN), and telephone systems. High school diploma, technical training on the computer and various software applications, good organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidential data. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work accurately with complex information. Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Excel, Word and FileMaker Pro as front-line data analysis tools. Experience creating charts and graphics using Microsoft Office, Inspiration or similar software. Zone 14.
