About Lebanon County Head Start:


Last year, 1,478 students received IU 13 Speech/Language services, 1,390 received Occupational Therapy services, and 546 received Physical Therapy services.

Lebanon County Head Start

student photoLebanon County Head Start is a comprehensive preschool program which serves children who are three or four years of age by school district cutoff dates for kindergarten enrollment. The target population which Head Start serves is predominantly low-income or below the federal poverty level. In addition, Head Start may serve up to 10% of funded enrollment to over-income families if the child has a disability or special need.

The Head Start program consists of eight major component areas including Staff, Program Planning, Program Governance and Shared Decision Making.

Mission

The mission of Lebanon County Head Start, a federally funded early intervention program for eligible preschool children and their families, is to strengthen and encourage social development, resourcefulness, and self-sufficiency by providing positive learning experiences in the areas of social service, health, education, parent involvement and nutrition according to the individual needs of the family.
