Literacy - Reading, Writing, Speaking, and Listening
Scientific-based reading research shows five key areas of reading instruction that are critical to attain this goal: phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary and text comprehension. The mission of IU 13 is to support and enhance the educational community's efforts to bring scientific-based/evidence-based research to district-wide systems and classroom practices.
