IU 13 Math Points of Contact

Participants

The IU 13 Math “Points of Contact” consist of one elementary and/or one secondary math education leader from each of the 22 public school districts, a higher education representative, and representatives from three of the IU 13 service program areas: Special Programs and Services, Nonpublic Services, and Curriculum and Instruction Services.

Purpose

The purpose of the IU 13 Math Points of Contact is to give math education leaders in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties an opportunity to:

  • keep abreast of the most current information from PDE and mathematics professional organizations, and share that information back in their home district,
  • serve as a collaborative resource for regional professional development activities and events either partially or fully funded by the Math/Science Consortium, and
  • engage in collegial professional development activities and assist with building capacity in their home schools/districts.

Unique focus groups or action teams may grow out of this “Points of Contact” group as deemed necessary.

Schedule for 2007-2008 School Year

All meetings will be held from 4:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. in the IU 13 Lancaster Conference Center, Burle Business Park (1020 New Holland Avenue).
