IU 13’s team of over 1,800 full- and part-time employees provides services locally in Lancaster and Lebanon Counties as well as throughout Pennsylvania.

A Learning Community for New Principals

IU 13 invites new principals and new assistant principals to participate in a professional development opportunity designed to provide the novice principal with collegial support and essential skills needed to lead teachers, promote student achievement, and carry out the role of the principal effectively. Through participation in this learning community, valuable insights and skills for coping with the challenges and opportunities of the principalship will be shared.

The Learning Community for New Principals and New Assistant Principals will include a series of meetings, as well as opportunities for networking with peers through visitations and sharing of resources and materials.

All meetings run 8:00 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. with networking and breakfast beginning at 7:30 a.m. All meetings will be held at IU 13's Lancaster Conference Center at Burle Business Park (1020 New Holland Avenue). There is NO cost for the New Principals' Support Group meetings.
