IU 13 Science Points of Contact
Participants
The IU 13 Science "Points of Contact" consist of elementary and secondary science education leaders from each of the 22 public school districts as well as representatives from our local higher education institutions. This group is led by the IU 13 Curriculum & Instruction Specialist for Science Education.
Purpose
The purpose of the IU 13 Science Points of
Contact will be to give science education leaders in Lancaster and Lebanon
Counties an opportunity to:
- Keep abreast of the most current information
from PDE and science professional organizations, and share that information
back in their home district;
- Serve as a collaborative resource for
regional professional development activities and events either partially
or fully funded by the Math/Science Consortium; and
- Engage in collegial professional development
activities and assist with building capacity in their home schools/districts.
Unique focus groups or action teams may grow out of this Points
of Contact group as deemed necessary.
