IU 13 Staff DevelopmentLancaster-Lebanon Intermediate Unit 13 offers professional development services that are an integral part of broad school-wide and district-wide school accountability planning, focusing on the major components of curriculum, assessment, instruction and organization. Professional education activities are aligned with national, state and local initiatives, and support the strategically identified needs of our constituent school districts. Program development is a major focus area of the staff development team at IU 13. Professional development initiatives, seminars, workshops, continuing education courses and other activities are available to local administrators, teachers, parents, agency personnel and community members, as well as consultative support and technical assistance through IDEA’s Training and Consultation System (TaCS). On-site program and staff development through customized training and technical assistance allows the Intermediate Unit to provide services that are specific to a particular district’s needs.
