About the Program

Comprehensive Support & Improvement (CSI) School Improvement initiative is statewide program that includes regional school improvement teams under the direction of the Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) in the context of Pennsylvania’s Plan for Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) and Pennsylvania’s System for District and School Improvement. This initiative provides leadership, support and assurance for the delivery of cohesive, high quality, and differentiated supports to Pennsylvania’s lowest performing schools with the expectation of measurable quality, measurable progress and performance.

Positions through: 

Chester County Intermediate Unit 24

  • As Comprehensive Support and Improvement schools, LEAs and districts begin building the foundation for a tailored, continuous school improvement process that supports school and student achievement. Regional support teams will offer professional guidance and ensure that school leaders receive the support needed to inform and implement improvement efforts.

    The Chester County Intermediate Unit is responsible for hiring full-time employees that will assist and empower CSI schools and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) as they move forward in the school improvement process in this collaborative Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE)-led initiative.
