Math teacher talking

Mathematics

What is math? Mathematics is the exploration of patterns and relationships. It goes beyond just finding answers; it involves recognizing, explaining, and expanding on the patterns and relationships we see in the world. Math is about thinking critically, making sense of problems, and finding solutions. It’s also about helping students understand how math is relevant and meaningful in their everyday lives.

Whether you’re looking to strengthen your district’s curriculum, enhance classroom engagement, or explore innovative teaching strategies, our team is here to help. With a deep commitment to empowering educators and students alike, our consultants are ready to connect and discuss how we can meet your school’s unique mathematics needs. Reach out today to start the conversation!

with John SanGiovanni

Act 48 course from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m. on November 5, 2025

Productive struggle is more than a catchphrase. It is the result of six actions that teachers take so that students struggle, persevere, and succeed. In this session, participants learn about how productive struggle in mathematics is grounded in values, identity, community, planning, support, and reflection. Participants will acquire strategies to leverage before, during, and after the lesson or the struggle. Whether you’re a teacher, coach, or leader, this session will equip you with actionable strategies to nurture productive struggle in your classroom or school. This workshop will be complemented with a collection of ready-to-use classroom resources.
