This 10-hour, Future-Ready Leadership: An Administrator's AI Playbook Act 45 workshop provides an essential framework, including strategies for instructional leadership, operational optimization, and strategic implementation of AI. In-Person Leadership Workshop (6 hours) This interactive session is focused on administrative strategy and hands-on tool evaluation: Practical Prompt Engineering: Learn to craft clear, effective prompts using the RAFTS framework to generate high-quality, relevant outputs from AI models. Live Demonstrations: See AI tools applied to real-world administrative challenges. Hands-on Evaluation: Assess leading AI tools (Gemini, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Magic School, SchoolAI, etc.) through the lens of a school leader. Job-Embedded Strategic Application (4 hours) Administrators will apply their learning directly to your administrative responsibilities by: Administrative AI Tool Evaluation: Test and evaluate at least two AI tools relevant to school management, exploring applications for communication, data analysis, or resource allocation. Strategic AI Implementation Plan: Reflect on your school's specific needs and draft a plan to integrate an AI tool to improve operations, support instruction, or boost student achievement. These half-day job-alike gatherings will be facilitated by IU13 and open to any staff invested in supporting the academic growth of gifted/advanced learners and complying with Chapter 16 regulations. A key component of each meeting will be time set aside for collaboration with grade-level, job-alike colleagues. District/school staff will also have the option to plan as a team during a portion of the meeting. Communication for the Gifted Network will primarily take place through Schoology, and anyone interested may join this Group for updates, resources, and discussions. The access code is FBGZM-ZHCMD. Registration will be required for each meeting for planning and Act 48 purposes. There is NO COST for IU13 district and nonpublic school staff to participate in network meetings.

Gifted learners bring extraordinary strengths to the classroom and equally unique social-emotional challenges that are often overlooked or misunderstood. In this interactive workshop, educators will explore the distinctive SEW needs of gifted students and discover how the CASEL framework provides a powerful lens for meeting those needs intentionally and effectively. We'll unpack CASEL's 3 Signature Practices and explore how to weave them seamlessly into your daily classroom routines - low prep, high yield strategies that work for any learner, with a special focus on what resonates most with gifted kids. You'll walk away with more than ideas - you'll leave with a plan. The session wraps up with a hands-on Make & Take where you'll map out a month of SEW-aligned practices tailored to your gifted learners, ready to implement the moment you walk back into your classroom. In a student-centered learning classroom, collaboration is essential for promoting critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. However, fostering effective teamwork can be challenging, especially when learners have different learning styles, strengths, and communication styles. In this workshop, educators will explore practical strategies for promoting cooperation and collaboration in the student-centered learning classroom.

This topic covers the physical and social structures of the school, including how well-resourced and inclusive the learning environment feels for everyone. We will look at how individual differences are appreciated and how students with disabilities are integrated as full members of the community. Time will be provided for school teams to identify environmental changes that can improve the daily experience of students and staff.

This interactive workshop is designed for educators across grade levels and content areas who are implementing Structured Literacy and want to ensure instruction remains student-centered, engaging, and responsive to learners' needs. Participants will explore how explicit, systematic instruction can coexist with choice, collaboration, and meaningful literacy experiences. Through hands-on activities, lesson analysis, and collaborative discussion, educators will examine strategies for designing student-centered literacy lessons grounded in Structured Literacy principles. Participants will leave with practical tools, adaptable routines, and planning resources that support learner agency in the student-centered environment.
